5. Sorcerer

Why the Sorcerer?

Lizardfolk Sorcerers should increase Charisma by +2 and Dexterity by +1.

Natural Armor and Hungry Jaws will help improve your durability, especially in the early game, though Hungry Jaws should only be used out of combat.

Nature’s Intuition provides you with more skills to make yourself useful for your party, so try learning skills they don’t have or that you need for your build.

4. Rogue

Why the Rogue?

Lizardfolk Rogues should increase Dexterity by +2 and Constitution/Charisma by +1.

Rogues will make good use of Natural Armor, effectively gaining more AC than they otherwise would’ve with Medium armor (except the Breastplate, but that’s expensive).

Lizardfolk Rogues should only use Hungry Jaws for the temporary HP outside of combat, as their other abilities are many times more valuable.

3. Paladin

Primary Ability Scores – Charisma and Strength

Lizardfolk Paladins should increase Strength/Dexterity by +2 and Charisma by +1.

Paladins are torn between two builds as Lizardfolk. Hungry Jaws works best for Strength builds, while Natural Armor works best for Dexterity builds.

The two skills you get from Nature’s Intuition should push you beyond your common Face skills and make you more valuable in areas you need in your campaign.

Note: Dexterity builds are the best in this situation, as they can still use Hungry Jaws for the temporary HP, even if it isn’t as effective.

Lizardfolk Monks should increase Dexterity/Wisdom by +2 and Dexterity/Wisdom/Constitution by +1.

As a Monk you desperately need the two extra skills from Nature’s Intuition if you plan on replacing the Rogue in your party.

Note: Hungry Jaws shouldn’t be used in combat and should exclusively be used to pad your character with temporary HP.

You can try to lessen the need for Wisdom and increase your Dexterity to align with Natural Armor, but that will make you even more MAD.

1. Druid

Primary Ability Score – Wisdom

Secondary Ability Scores – Constitution, Dexterity

Spellcasting Ability – Wisdom

Armor Proficiencies – Light, Medium, Shields (Druids won’t use shields or wear armor made from metal)

Weapons Proficiencies – Spears, Slings, Sickles, Scimitars, Quarterstaffs, Maces, Javelins, Darts, Daggers, Clubs

Why the Druid?

Lizardfolk Druids should increase Wisdom by +2 and Dexterity by +1.

Druids might be able to use Hungry Jaws while in Wild Shape, but that depends on your DM. So, if you can’t use it, just keep it as a temporary HP padding ability.

The skills from Nature’s Intuition are great for expanding your usefulness outside of combat, and Natural Armor is a great way to increase your AC without worrying about armor.

You’ll just have to raise your Dexterity accordingly, but that shouldn’t be too difficult, as the Druid’s only other ability score is Wisdom.
