Best Classes for Hadozee
5. Paladin
Primary Ability Scores – Charisma and Strength
Secondary Ability Score – Constitution
Spellcasting Ability – Charisma
Armor Proficiencies – Light, Medium, Heavy, Shields
Weapons Proficiencies – Simple, Martial
Why the Paladin?
Hadozee Paladins should put +2 in Charisma or Strength and +1 in Constitution.
Hadozee don’t improve on much that the Paladin can already do, but their Hadozee Dodge and Dextrous Feet are pretty useful.
Dextrous Feet will allow you to manipulate objects without using magic, and Hadozee Dodge adds to your already impressive durability.
Note: Glide can be helpful, but since you don’t often get to fall 10 feet for something important, you’ll only end up using it when you fall or have something else happen to you.
Recommended Paladin Sacred Oaths
- Conquest
- Crown
- Vengeance
4. Sorcerer
Primary Ability Score – Charisma
Secondary Ability Scores – Constitution, Dexterity
Spellcasting Ability – Charisma
Armor Proficiencies – None
Weapons Proficiencies – Daggers, Quarterstaffs, Light Crossbows, Darts, Slings
Why the Sorcerer?
Hadozee Sorcerers should put +2 in Strength (For 12 Strength) and +1 in Charisma.
Hadozee Sorcerers should cast Jump when at 12 Strength, which will give you some maneuverability if you can’t fly or teleport.
Note: Glide works well with Storm Sorcery.
Hadozee Dodge improves your durability, which Sorcerers have so little of to begin with.
Recommended Sorcerer Origin
- Storm Sorcery
3. Artificer
Primary Ability Score – Intelligence
Secondary Ability Scores – Constitution, Dexterity
Spellcasting Ability – Intelligence
Armor Proficiencies – Light, Medium, Shields
Weapons Proficiencies – Simple
Why the Artificer?
Hadozee Artificers should put +2 in Strength (For 12 Strength) and +1 in Intelligence.
Like the Sorcerer, Artificers should look at getting 12 Strength to cast Jump and make Glide useful.
Unlike the Sorcerer, the Artificer can infuse Boots of Striding and Springing at level 10. This allows them to not use a spell slot when using Jump, which saves quite a bit of resources.
This makes Glide an effective way of traveling with few drawbacks.
Recommended Artificer Specialists
- Armorer
- Battle Smith
2. Barbarian
Primary Ability Score – Strength
Secondary Ability Scores – Constitution, Dexterity to a lesser extent
Armor Proficiencies – Light, Medium, Shields
Weapons Proficiencies – Simple, Martial
Why the Barbarian?
Hadozee Barbarians should put +2 in Strength and +1 in Constitution.
Your build’s main features will be Dexterous Feet and Hadozee Dodge, as Glide won’t come online until later in the game.
Dexterous Feet could work if you intend to fight with an item in each hand, and Hadozee Dodge pairs nicely with the durability gained from Rage.
Recommended Barbarian Primal Path
- Beast
- Totem Warrior
1. Warlock
Primary Ability Score – Charisma
Secondary Ability Scores – Constitution, Dexterity
Spellcasting Ability – Charisma
Armor Proficiencies – Light
Weapons Proficiencies – Simple
Why the Warlock?
Hadozee Warlocks should put +2 in Strength (For 12 Strength) and +1 in Charisma.
The best way to play a Hadozee Warlock is to use the Otherworldly Leap invocation and get your Strength to 12.
This allows you to use Glide’s full capabilities. If you get the Ascendant Step invocation, you can use Levitate to get yourself high in the air and attempt to glide when you start falling.
Recommended Warlock Otherworldly Patrons
- Fiend
- Genie
Final Thoughts
Whether you opt for the brute strength of a Barbarian, the technological magic of an Artificer, or the magical strangeness of a Sorcerer, each class offers unique abilities that can complement the agility and adaptability of Hadozees.
